Theracurmin BioActive is a highly bioavailable form of curcumin. One capsule contains a formulated form of curcumin, Theracurmin, providing the bioequivalence of 810 mg of common, unformulated curcumin. Curcumin has demonstrated antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which aid Theracurmin BioActive in relieving symptoms of mild osteoarthritis including decreasing mild joint pain and swelling.

  • Curcumin (from Theracurmin 83.4 mg) 30 mg

Adults: Take 1-2 capsules one to three times a day, or as professionally prescribed.

Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Contains maltose.

Avoid using in pregnancy and lactation.

Turmeric might stimulate the uterus and increase menstrual flow.

There is insufficient reliable information available about the safety of using turmeric in medicinal amounts during lactation.

Curcumin is contraindicated in bile duct obstruction, and use with caution in patients with gallstones or gallbladder disease.

Theoretically, curcumin may increase the risk of bleeding when used with anticoagulant drugs; caution is advised in use with warfarin.

Antiplatelet properties have been observed in curcumin; caution is advised in use with antiplatelet drugs.

Curcumin should be suspended one week prior to surgery, due to the antiplatelet effects.

Curcumin may inhibit iron absorption; use with caution in patients with iron deficiency.

Theoretically, taking turmeric with antidiabetic drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.

Due to antioxidant effects of turmeric, there is concern it may reduce the activity of chemotherapy drugs that generate free radicals. However, research is conflicting.

Turmeric and curcumin are safe when taken in recommended doses.

Curcumin doses of up to 8000mg/day taken orally for 3 months did not prove toxic in humans.

Avoid combination -
