NuroSAMe Plus contains 200mg of ademetionine (SAMe) to support healthy mood balance and to aid in the synthesis of neurotransmitters. SAMe also supports liver health and its natural liver detoxification processes. Vitamin B12 relieves fatigue and feelings of weakness, when dietary intake is inadequate. Folate and vitamin B12 help to decrease homocysteine levels and assist in healthy red blood cell production.
Adults: Take 1 tablet two times a day, or as professionally prescribed.
Individuals who are using prescription anti-depressants or suffer from bipolar depression should not use this product unless under the supervision of a health professional.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your health professional before use.
Contains soya bean products and sugar alcohols.
SAMe has been used intravenously 800 mg in the last trimester of pregnancy with no adverse effects to mother or foetus. However, safety has not yet been conclusively established for oral dose forms and possible effects on prolactin levels need to be considered.
There is insufficient reliable information available about the use of SAMe at higher doses, for extended periods of time, or during the earlier trimesters of pregnancy, with insufficient reliable information available for use in lactation.
Not to be used by those using prescription antidepressants. Theoretically, co-administration may result in an increased risk of serotonin syndrome.
SAMe should be avoided in people with bipolar disorder and used with caution by people with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder.
SAMe methylates levodopa, which could theoretically reduce the effectiveness of levodopa given for Parkinson's disease; however, the effect has not been observed clinically.
Vitamin B12 may reduce tetracycline hydrochloride (antibiotic) bioavailability; separate doses by at least two hours.
